given = current = 80Ω

solution =

  apply the kirchoff"s law ;

find the resistance

∴4 + 8 = 12Ω

now for the net resistance:

∴1/R = 1/12 + 1/2 + 1/4 + 1/4 +  1/2

R = 220V

so, the potential = 32V

∴now  apply the using ohm"s law

V =  IR

I =  220 / 32

I =  6.8 A.

the current in 8Ω is 6.8A
