2. Human resources is the set of people who make up the workforce of an organization, business sector, industry, or economy.
3. This is because humans have an ability to transform gifts from nature into valuable resources that can be utilized for useful purposes.
4. Earlier greater emphasis was given on satisfying basic needs such as food, shelter, clothing which was derived from natural resources. For example, even today the pygmies of Africa eat edible plants,roots,flowers, fruits and hunt animals. In urban societies,greater emphasis is given on utilisation of resources for multifarious needs of the humans.
5. Utility and value of a resource varies from time to time and place to place. Time and technology are the two factors that change the value of substances and make them resources.
