hoop stress, a normalstress in the tangential (azimuth) direction; Axialstress, a normal stress parallel to the axis of cylindrical symmetry; Radial stress, a stress in directions coplanar with but perpendicular to the symmetry axis.

Volumetric strain: Volumetric strain of a deformed body is defined as the ratio of the change in volume of the body to the deformation to its original volume.

Answer:

heya❤❤ here is your answer

1. HOOP STRESS:The hoop stress is the force exerted circumferentially (perpendicular both to the axis and to the radius of the object) in both directions on every particle in the cylinder wall. It can be described as: ... l is the axial length of the cylinder.

2.VOLUMETRIC STRAIN: The volumetric strain is defined as follows: Volumetric Strain: Thevolumetric strain is the unit change involume, i.e. the change in volumedivided by the original volume.

3.Circumferential strain: Circumferential strain is mainly thecircumferential shortening due to inward movement of midwall or endocardial circumference as the wall thickens. As different vendors use different definition of circumferential strain (midwall or endocardial), there is no standard circumferential strain.
