Step-by-step explanation:
Given Q.1 Given below are 6 cards. Each card represents a rational number. A=3/8 ,B = ¼, C= 5/8 , D= 1 ¼ , E= 13/8, F = 11/16. Reema , Anshu and Priya each drew two of these cards.
Anshu said “ The sum of my numbers is 1 ½”.
Reema said “ The sum of my number is 1”.
Priya said “ The difference of my number is just less than one.”

- A = 3 / 8 , B = 1 / 4 , C = 5 / 8 . D = 1 1 / 4 , E = 13 / 8 , F = 11 / 16
- According to the question we get
- Reema , Anshu and Priya each of them drew two cards.
- Now Anshu said sum of my numbers is 1 1/2
- Therefore sum of card B and D will be 1/4 + 1 1/4
- 1/4 + 5/4
- 3/2
- 1 1/2
- So Anshu got card B and card D
- Reema said sum of my numbers is 1
- Now consider the card A and C sum of it will be 3/8 + 5/8
- = 3 + 5 / 8
- = 8/8
- = 1
- Now the remaining cards are E and F
- Priya said the difference of my number is just less than one.
- Difference of card E and F = 13 / 8 – 11 / 16
- = 26 – 11 / 16
- = 15 / 16
- = 15 / 16
- = 0.9 < 1
- Therefore Priya will get the card E and F
