In ∆ABC.

AB=AC

AD Is the angle director of A

We know that

AD bisects angle A

And,

AD bisects BC as well in 90° (Bisection always takes place at 90°}

Hence, AD bisects BC

In ∆ABD and ∆ACD,

ADB = ADC = 90° {Proved)

AB = AC (Given)

AD = AD ( Common Side)

Therefore, ∆ABD is congruent to ∆ACD (R.H S.)
