Sulfur dioxide (SO2) is a gas, formed by burning sulfur in air. When dissolved in water, SO2 forms sulfurous acid, a complex mixture of various hydrates of SO2 and the ions H3O+, S2O52 −, and HSO3−.

2) Hydrogen Gas

Acids react with most metals and, when they do, a salt is produced. But unlike the reaction between acids and bases, we do not get water. Instead we get hydrogen gas.

3) Copper

copper does not react with dilute hydrochloric acid even on heating but reacts with sulphuric acid .

4)The reaction of an acid with a base is called a neutralization reaction. The products of the reaction are a salt and water.
