Step-by-step explanation:

if we square them all, their oder doesn't alter..

so, we can nullify the wrong ones by squaring them.

  • now, 6 (√6^2) doesn't lie in between 9 & 16, so, it is incorrect...
  • now, 18 (2√3^2) doesn't lie in between 9 & 16, so, it's incorrect...
  • now, 24 (2√6^2) also doesn't lie in between 9 & 16, so, it's incorrect...
  • At last, 12 ( 2√3^2) lies in between 9 & 16, so, we can say that it is the right answer..

N. B.:

2 \sqrt{3} = 3.4641 \: approx
