1) evaporation is slower, occurs only from the surface of the liquid, does not produce bubbles, and leads to cooling. Boiling is faster, can occur throughout the liquid, produces lots of bubbles, and does not result in cooling.

2)As temperature increases, rate of evaporation also increases. This is due to increasing kinetic energy of the surface molecules which leads them to free and become vapour. This means; increasing the surface area will increase the chance of more molecules to evaporate.

3)A liquid has a larger surface area in a saucer than in a cup. ... The larger is the surface area more is, the more evaporation. Thus, evaporation is faster in a saucer causing more cooling than in a cup. For this reason, we can sip hot tea or milk faster from a saucer than a cup.
