 Given \: AB \parallel \: DE \:and

 \angle {ABC} = 115\degree , \: and \: \angle {BCD} = 55\degree

Draw a line 'l' parallel to DE through C .

From the figure

i ) y + 115° = 180°

[ Interior angles on the same side of the Transversal ]

=> y = 180° - 115°

=> y = 65° -- (1)

and

Similarly

ii) x + z = 180°

=> z = 180° - x ---(2)

Also,

y + 55° + z = 180°

[ Angles at a point on a line ]

=> 65° + 55° + 180° - x = 180°

=> 120° + 180° - x = 180°

=> -x = 180° - 180° - 120°

=> - x = - 120°

=> x = 120°

Therefore.,

 \red{ Value \: of \: x } \green { = 120\degree }
