 {x}^{2}  - 5x + k

here,

 \alpha  -  \beta  = 1 \\  \alpha  = 1 +  \beta

so,sum of zeroes=

 \frac{ - b}{a}

so,

 \alpha  +  \beta  =    - (\frac{ - 5}{1} ) \\  \beta  + 1 +  \beta  =  + 5 \\ 2 \beta  + 1 =  + 5 \\ 2\beta  = 5 - 1 \\  \beta  =  \frac{4}{2} \:  \\  \beta  = 2

but,

 \alpha  = 1 +  \beta

so,

 \alpha  = 1 + 2 \\  \alpha  = 3

so zeroes are

 \alpha  = 3 \\  \beta  = 2

now product of zeroes=

 \frac{c}{a}

so,

 \alpha  \times  \beta  =  \frac{k}{1}  \\ 3 \times 2 = k \\ k = 6

so , the value of k is 6
