Q.14"Kartik Ltd." is manufacturing softdrinks under the brand name
'Supercool. The company has a good sales record for the last few years.
But, due to huge competition from local brands, it is anticipating that its
sales may be affected adversely. Rather than bringing any innovation in
their product they decided to promote aggressively its product. They
decided to attract the young school going children by giving a free pen
with each bottle of 500 ml. The marketing manager is in touch with a
company which will help him to launch scratch cards through which
customers can win different prizes. The marketing department of the
company conducted various surveys and collected information from
different customers. They analysed that there are few customers who
don't get fascinated by the surprise gifts. Hence, the company will also
offer * 5 off on the return of the empty bottle. On the bottle of 'i tee the
company is offering 20% extra drink. The company is expecting a good
response through these activities.
