Initial velocity, u = 60m/s

Final velocity, v = 0. [body comes to rest]

time taken, t = 10s

In order to find out the distance travelled, we wouls first find out the decceleration occured.

Therefore, a = v - u / t

= 0 - 60 / 10

= -60 / 10

Hence, the or deccelaration occured 6m/s. or acceleration = -6m/s. ....(i)

Now, we will use the 3rd equation of motion to.find out the value of distance.

Therefore, By using. v^2 = u^ 2 + 2as

0^2 = 60^2 + 2 * (-6) * s

0 = 3600 - 12s

- 3600 = -12s. (cancel minus from both sides)

s = 300m

Hence, the distance, s travelled by the body is 300m.

Hope it helps
