In human beings the carbohydrates are digested by the enzymes called SALIVARY AMYLASE and PANCREATIC AMYLASE. Fats are emulsified( the process of breaking down of large fatglobules into smaller fat globules by bile juiice ) by the bile juice anddigested by PANCREATIC LIPASE.

Carbohydrates is broken down into starch or sugar, protein into amino acids, fats into fatty acids. Carbohydrate in form of starch is digested in mouth by salivary amylase then fats and protein are digested in small intestine.
