Explanation:

DISTANCE= it is a sclar quantity and it is the length of the path covered by him al though. distance does not depend on direction but magnitude.and it is the longest path of any path covered.

DISPLACEMENT= it is a vector quantity and it is the length of a path covered by any one although but the shortest path possible, it can be zeroand depend on both magnitude and direction.
