Answer:

During darkness, no reflected light will fall on the retina. Hence, no image will be formed by eye. That's why we can not view any object

Answer:

in our eyes there are two types of receptors.

namely the rod cells and the cone cells

The rod cells are responsible for the vision of colors...that is they help us in distinguishing different colors like red, blue...

The cone cells on the other hand are responsible for the main vision...that is the shape and size...

In the dark light isn't available so..rod cells don't respond.

.rod cells are activated in availability of light only...so we cant see colours...but cone cells still work...that why after light is gone within few minutes ur eyes get saturated and u can see the shape and size of different objects
