COORDINATE BOND

✪ BOND WHICH IS FORMED BY UNEQUAL SHARING OF ELECTRONS BETWEEN TWO ATOMS ARE CALLED CO-ORDINATE BOND.

✪ For co-ordinate Bond formation one atom must have at least one lone pair to donate and another atom should have vacant orbital in valence shell to accept electrons pair.

✪ Donor species is called Lewis base and accepted species is called Lewis acid.
