1..The jute fiber is obtained from the stem (outer covering) of the jute plant. The stems are first extracted by the process of retting. In this process the stalks are bundlled together and immersed in slow running water. After this fibres are extracted from stalks and excess materials are removed out.

2..A loom is a device used for weaving cloth.The basic function of loom is to wrap the threads to facilitate the interweaving of the weft thread. The precise shape of the loom and it's mechanics may vary, but the basic function is same .
