Given :-
- Diameter of the Cylinder pillar = 50cm
- Height of the Cylinder pillar = 3.5m
To Find :-
- Radius of the Cylinder pillar
- Curved surface area of the Cylinder pillar
- Cost of painting of pillar at the rate of 15.20 per m²
Formula :-
⠀⠀
where,
- CSA = Curved surface area of the Cylinder pillar
- r = Radius of the Cylinder
- h = height of the Cylinder pillar
Solution :-
⇒ 50cm/2
➥ 25cm
Height is in metres so, we convert the radius into metres
⇒ 1m = 100cm
⇒ 25/100m
➥ 0.25m
Hence, The radius is 0.25m
By substituting values according to the formula,
∴ The curved surface area of the Cylinder pillar is 5.5m²
✦ Cost of painting 1 m² = ₹ 15.20
✦ Cost of painting 5.5m² =
⇒ ₹( 5.5 × 15.20 )
Hence, The Cost of painting 5.5m² is ₹83.6
