Answer:

Another parallel side of the trapezium = 7cm

Explanation:

In a trapezium,

  • Area = 34cm²
  • height = 4cm
  • One of the parallel side = 10cm

We know,

Area of a trapezium :-

→ ½(a + b)h

Where, a and b are the parallel sides and h is the height.

According to the question,

→ 34 = ½(10 + b)4

→ 34 = (10 + b)2

→ 34 = 20 + 2b

→ 34 - 20 = 2b

→ 14 = 2b

→ 14/2 = b

→ 7 = b

∴ Another parallel side of the trapezium is 7cm

◇◇Given:-

  • Area= 34cm^2
  • Height 4cm
  • One parallel side of trapezium =10cm

◇◇To prove :-

  • Other parallel side of trapezium

◇◇Proof:-

  • We know the formula of area of trapezium that is ,

Area of trapezium =1/2 (m+n)

◇◇(((Let here m and n be the two parallel sides of the trapezium ))

  • Applying the values

◇◇We get,

  • 34= 1/2 (10+n)4
  • 34=(10+n)2
  • 34=20+2n
  • 34-20= 2n
  • 14 = 2n
  • 14/2 = n
  • n = 7

Therefore, other parallel sides of the trapezium is 7 cm.

◇◇Hope it helps u mate.

◇◇Thank you.
