  • Testes in male are extra - abdominal because they needs temperature of 2 - 2.5°C lower than body temperature.
  • Tests are present in scrotum in scrotal sac which maintains the temperature less than the body temperature.
  • If the testes were intra abdominal then spermatogenesis will be infected and there were no sperm formation.
  • In some animals, testes are intraabdominal in males. For example :- Elephants.
  • In male reproductive system, there's a highly coiled structure called epididymis and it stores sperm temporarily.
