Correct Question :-

A body travelling with a velocity of 20 m/s and gains an acceleration of 10.5 m/s² and travels a distance of 100 m. Find the final velocity of the body.

A) 20 m/s

B) 50 m/s

C) 80 m/s

D) 90 m/s

Answer :-

Given :

  • Initial velocity (u) = 20 m/s
  • Acceleration (a) = 10.5 m/s²
  • Distance (s) = 100 m

To find :

  • Final velocity (v)

According to the question,

By using Newton third equation of motion,

v² = u² + 2as

Where,

  • v stands for Final velocity
  • u stand for Initial velocity
  • a stands for Acceleration
  • s stands for Distance

Substituting the values,

→ v² = (20)² + 2 × 10.5 × 100

→ v² = 400 + 2100

→ v² = 2500

→ v = 50

.°. The final velocity is 50 m/s.

So,the correct option is B) 50 m/s..
