Answer:

ratio of ages of Kiran & Aditi = 15 : 12 or 5 : 4

A.T.Q

5x + 4x = 3600

9x = 3600

x = 3600 ÷ 9

x = 400

Kiran =5x = 5×400

Given :

  • A Father wants to divide Rs.36,000 between his two daughters in the ratio of their ages.
  • Kiran is 15 years old and Aditi is 12 years old.

 \\

To Find :

  • how much each one of them will get.

 \\

Solution :

⟶ Age of Kiran = 15 years

⟶ Age of Aditi = 12 years

Ratio of their ages :

⟶ 15/12 = 5/4 [cut both on table of 3]

⟶ So, ratio of their ages is 5/4

⟶ Amount of Kiran = 5x

⟶ Amount of Aditi = 4x

⠀⠀

According to the Question :

⟹ Ratio of Ages = Total Money

⟹ 5x + 4x = 36000

⟹ 9x = 36000

⟹ x = 36000 / 9

⟹ x = 4000

Therefore :

  • Kiran's amount = 5x = 5 × 4000 = Rs 20000
  • Aditi's amount = 4x = 4 × 4000 = Rs 16000
