Answer:

salt absorbs all the water from substance so bacteria can't live without water so it considered as a preservative.

chemicals exhibit the growth of harmful bacteria it is the reason some examples are benzoates, nitrides etc.

nitrogen gases is less reactive than other gases like oxygen .Oxygen oxidized with food and spoil it mainly called rancidity also
