Cyclones:

A cyclone is associated with low pressure because the centre or the eye of a cyclone is at low pressure and hence the winds converge.

In it, the winds blow anticlockwise in the northern hemisphere and clockwise in the southern hemisphere. Heavy rains, thundering and lightning occur along with it.

Anti-cyclones:

An anti-cyclone is opposite of cyclone because it has a high-pressure centre and the winds diverge i.e. flow outwards.

In it, the winds blow clockwise in the northern hemisphere and anticlockwise in the southern hemisphere. Warm, dry and more stable weather is associated with them.
