Given That:

A Box have 4 white, 3 black and 2 red balls.

Hence, There are total 9 balls in the box.

Solution:

i) Probability (getting white ball)=

no \: of \: faourable \: outcomes \div no \: of \: total \: outcomes

hence Probability (getting white ball) = 4/9.

ii) probability(getting a black or red ball) = 5/10 = 1/2.

( Since there is written "or", we have to add the probabilities of getting red ball and black ball.)
