Answer :-

The probability of getting the square of the number appearing on the dice will be multiple of 9 is 1/3.

Step by step Explaination:-

Probability is term used in mathematics that gives the extent or the measure of how many favourable cases are possible.

 \sf{Probability =  \frac{Number \: of \: required \: events}{Total \: number \: of \: outcomes}}

According to the question,

Required event must be square of the number that is a multiple of 9.

So:-

As the dice has 6 faces so there are six numbers on the dice respectively i.e 1,2,3,4,5,6.

Now the squares of these numbers are :-

1² = 1

2² = 4

3² = 9

4² = 16

5² = 25

6² = 36

So the square numbers are 1,4,9,16,36. Now from these numbers multiples of 9 are 9 and 36.

Therefore:-

 \sf{Probability =  \frac{ \cancel2}{ \cancel6}   =  \frac{1}{3}}

Hence:-

The probability of getting the square of the number appearing on the dice will be multiple of 9 is 1/3.

  • The probability of getting the square of the number appearing on the dice will be multiple of 9 is 1/3.

Solution⤵

Probability is term used in mathematics that gives the extent or the measure of how many favourable cases are possible.

 \sf{Probability =  \frac{Number \: of \: required \: events}{Total \: number \: of \: outcomes}}

According to the question,

Required event must be square of the number that is a multiple of 9.

So:⤵

As the dice has 6 faces so there are six numbers on the dice respectively i.e 1,2,3,4,5,6.

Now the squares of these numbers are :-

1² = 1

2² = 4

3² = 9

4² = 16

5² = 25

6² = 36

So the square numbers are 1,4,9,16,36. Now from these numbers multiples of 9 are 9 and 36.

Therefore:-

 \sf{Probability =  \frac{ \cancel2}{ \cancel6}   =  \frac{1}{3}}

Hence:-

The probability of getting the square of the number appearing on the dice will be multiple of 9 is 1/3.
