Answer:

give data

s = 280 m & v = 42 km/h = 42×1000 m ÷ 3600 s = 11.66 m/s

t = ?

solution

As man is sitting on platform so whole train willll cover the distance of 280 m

v = s / t ⇒t = s / v

t = 280 / 11.66 = 24 s

t =  24 s

train will take 6 second to cross thr tree.
