The age of the Gupta Empire is called 'The Classical age of Art'.

• Many glorious statues, temples, and palaces were built during the Gupta Empire. One fine example is the Dashavatara Temple in Uttar Pradesh.
• Classical forms of Indian music and dance were flourished and shaped.  
• Mural paintings of Ajanta, Ellora, and Sarnath showcase Gupta art and architecture.  
• The Bronze Buddha in Sultanganj, Bihar was built during this age.
• The Iron Pillar in Delhi is a magnificent work of this period. The pillar is 7m in height and is made with metals such that it will never rust. It shows the metallurgical knowledge of the people.
