In India, a national assembly of elected representative is called Parliament. At the state level, this is called Legislature or Legislative Assembly. In our country, the Parliament consists of two houses i.e the Rajya Sabha and the Lok Sabha.

Executive body implements the decisions taken by the legislature. They execute the policies.

We have an independent judiciary which protects the laws.
