2x + y - 7 = 0 \\ 2x + y = 7 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:

4x - 3y  + 1 = 0 \\ 4x - 3y =  - 1 \:  \:  \:  \:

Multiplying 2x+y=7 by 2,

4x + 2y = 14

Subtracting equations,

4x + 2y = 14

4x - 3y =  - 1

- + +

5y = 15

y = 3

Substituting y=3 in eq, 2x+y=7,

2x  + 3 = 7 \\ 2x = 7 - 3 \\ 2x = 4 \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \\

x=2
