Question:-

Find the area of triangle given in the diagram:-

Answer:-

  • The area of triangle is 78 cm²

To find:-

  • Area of triangle

Solution:-

Here,

  • AD = Height of triangle = 12 cm
  • BC = Base of triangle = 13 cm

We have to find the area of triangle.

As we know,

 \large{ \boxed{ \mathfrak{area =  \frac{1}{2}  \times b \times h}}}

Where,

  • b = base of triangle
  • h = height of triangle

According to question,

 \large{ \tt : \implies \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: area =  \frac{1}{2}  \times 12 \times 13} \\

 \large{ \tt : \implies \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: area = 6 \times 13}

 \large{ \tt : \implies \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: area = 78 \:  {cm}^{2} }

Hence,

  • The area of triangle is 78 cm².

Given:-

  • Base of the triangle is 13 cm.
  • Height of the triangle is 12 cm.

To find:-

  • Area of the triangle.

Solution:-

Formula used:-

\star{\boxed{\sf{\orange{Area\: of\: triangle = \dfrac{1}{2} \times base \times height}}}}

\tt\longmapsto{\dfrac{1}{2} \times b \times h}

\tt\longmapsto{\dfrac{1}{2} \times 13 \times 12}

\tt\longmapsto{\dfrac{1}{2} \times 156}

\tt\longmapsto{\boxed{\red{78\: cm^2}}}

Hence,

  • the area of the triangle is 78 cm².
