Roadside trees and colony parks are the lungs of the cities. You
find that a large number of trees are being cut to widen the
roads. Parks are not being
properly maintained. Write a letter
to the editor of a local news paper raising your voice against
the felling of the trees and requesting that the parks be looked
after properly: you are T.K. Prasaran/Sanjitha, F 1/14 Beach

Sir ,
Through this letter i want to draw your attention that I have noticed when people move to a new place hlthe first thing they do is buy a house and cut down all the trees. They do not appreciate our local trees like the magnolia, tupelo gum, white poplar, swamp chestnut oak, spruce pine or slash pines.Unfortunately, the law eliminating black plastic bags for leaves has resulted in people cutting trees down rather than taking the time to put their leaves in paper bags, which are much more difficult to use and no one wants to pay someone else to do it. People ignore the tree laws anyway. Trees and their stumps disappear overnight.
Public parks have become indispensable necessities in the current times. Ever increasing pollution, contracting open space due to urbanization and industrialization, increasing traffic on roads, etc. all have contributed to the deterioration of environment and human health. And absence of open spaces in the modern colonies, townships, and residential areas has further aggravated the problem.
Hence i want appeal to you to take a look on this serious issues so that i should able to live healthy.
We shall be grateful.
Your truly
Prasaran/Sanjitha.
