 \boxed{question}

Sarah and Gavyn win some money and they share it in the ratio 5:1 , Sarah gets € 50. hum much did they win in total ?

 \boxed{answer}

To find :

  • the total money they win

To given

  • the ratio between money they shared 5:1
  • Sarah get € 50

solution:

The ratio between the money they shared = 5:1

if Sarah get € 50

let the ratio = 5x : 1x

x =  \frac{50}{5}  = 10

if the x= 10 so Sarah get = 10× 5= 50

and Gavyn get = 10× 1 = 10

so, the total amount they win = 50+10 = 60
