Q- Find the value for a so that each of the following equation may have x=1 and y=1 as a solution
A- a) ax-2y=10 b) 9ax+12ay=63
(What I wan to ash is, does the value of a has to be same in both equation or different? Because I had answered individually the answers which were a) a=12 and b) a =3, but someone said that it might be that the value of a has to remain same and told me to read the question more carefully or maybe there was a problem in question itself and thus I was confused)

is a root of the polynomial f(x) = 6x3 - 11x2 + kx - 20 then find the value of k. Sol. .... Put α = -1 in equation (i) ⇒ β = -2(-1) - 2 = 2 - 2 = 0. ... p(1) = 2(1)4 - 7(1)3 - 13(1)2 + 63 ...
