sum of three consecutive numbers = 72

first number = x

second number = x + 1

third number = x + 2

x + x + 1 + x + 2 = 72

3x + 3 = 72

3x = 72 - 3

x = 69/3

x = 23

three numbers = first number = x = 23

second number = x + 1 = 24

third number = x + 2 = 25

VERIFY

23+24+25 = 72

72 = 72

HENCE VERIFIED
