  1. Arteries are thick walled because they need much pressure to pump the blood throughout the body and thick walls provide that pressure.
  2. Blood goes only once through the heart of fishes in one cycle because they have a two chambered heart . They take oxygen through gills where the blood is oxygenated and passed through the heart to the rest of the body.
  3. Plants have low energy needs as compared to animals because they do not move. Moreover, in a large plant there are many dead cells like sclerenchyma because of which they also need less energy.
