Substituting value (-1) in the p(x)

We get,

⇒ 6(-1)³+5(-1)²-3(-1)+2   ( Remember that  $-1^{2}$ = 1 and $-1^{3}$ = -1 )

⇒ -6+5+3+2

⇒ -6+10

⇒ 4

∴ p(-1) = 4
