Q. One of the parallel sides of a trapezium is double the other and its height is 24 cm. If area of
the trapezium is 360 cm?, find the length of the parallel sides.

lets be small side (a) x

so larger parallel side will be(b) 2x

and area of trapezium is 360 cm²

formula of area of trapezium = (a + b)h/2

so, (x+2x)24/2 = 360 cm²

3x×12 = 360cm²

3x = 30

x = 10

so, small side = 10 cm

large side = 20 cm
