Answer :

  • 10000

Given :

  • Her starting salary with an annual increment.

To Find :

  • Her salary of 5th year?

Using Formula :

  • Previous year salary + annual increment

Let's Start Now :

To get this answer, first we have to find the salary of second year. So, let us first see what her monthly salary of second year would be.

Second year salary :

  • Adding the first salary by the annual increment we can get the salary of next month.

So, it would be ( 8000 + 500 ) = Rs 8500.

In the same way, we can find the monthly salary for the 3rd, 4th and 5th year by adding rs 500 to the salary of the previous year.

Third year salary :

So, the salary of 3rd year

= Rs ( 8500 + 500 )

= Rs 9000

Fourth year salary :

So, the salary of 4th year

= Rs ( 9000 + 500 )

= Rs 9500

Fifth year salary :

So, the salary of 5th year

= Rs ( 9500 + 500 )

= Rs 10000

 \small\sf \therefore \: The \: monthly \:salary \: of \: 5th \: year \: = \bf \: Rs.1000

More To Know :

By using the above method we can find her monthly salary of every year like as 15th year, 25th year, and more if still she is working in the job, but we can make this process shorter, Let's see :

  • Find her 15th year salary ?
  • Find her 25th year salary ?

15th_year_salary_:

So, the salary for the 15th year

= First salary + ( 15 - 1 ) × Annual increment

= 8000 + ( 15 - 1 ) × 500

= 8000 + 7000

= Rs. 15000

25th_year_salary_:

So, the salary for the 25th year

= First salary + ( 25 - 1 ) × Annual increment

= 8000 + ( 25 - 1 ) × 500

= 8000 + 12000

= Rs. 20000
