Time has been invented by man. however, we can replace the time indicator of universe dynamic by the matter density. in some sense the density correlate with time. therefore we can assume that in the beginning the density was equal to zero, (no matter existed )and the singularity problem disappears .it can be like some Energy field existed before the density in some point in Energy field suddenly transforms into matter of positive density- known as initial inflation phase of the universe.

No time did not exist before the universe started. After the Big Bang, our universe was created which marked the starting of time. Before the Big Bang there was nothing in our universe in fact there was no universe. And it is clear that if there was nothing, there was no time.
