\textbf{\underline{\underline{According\:to\:the\:Question}}}

\textbf{\boxed{Initial\;momentum\;of\;object}}

1 = m × v

= 1.5 × 2.5

= 3.75 kg m/s

\textbf{\boxed{Initial\;momentum\;of\;2\;object}}

= m × (-v)

= 1.5 × (-2.5)

= - 3.75 kg m/s

\text{Momentum\;of\;2\;object\;after\;collision}

3.75 + (-3.75) = 0

★Hence

★Velocity of combination

\tt{\rightarrow\dfrac{Momentum\;of\; Combination}{Mass\;of\; Combination}}

\tt{\rightarrow\dfrac{0}{3.0}}

= 0

\boxed{\begin{minipage}{11 cm} Additional Information \\ \\ $\ Final\;Velocity=Initial\; velocity+Acceleration\times Time \\ \\ Momentum = Mass\times Velocity \\ \\ Force=Mass\times Acceleration \\ \\ Force = \dfrac{Change\;in\;Momentum}{Time\;Interval} \\ \\ Impulse = Force\times Time $\end{minipage}}

Question : Two objects each of mass 1.5 kg are moving in the same straight line in opposite direction. The velocity of each object is 2.5 M / s before the collision during which they stick together. What will be the velocity of the combined object after collision.

Mass of one object : 1.5 kg (Let's take it as M1)

Mass of the other object : 1.5 kg (Let's take it as M2)

The velocity of M1 before collision : 2.5 m/s (Let's take it as V1)

The velocity of M2 before collision : -2.5 m/s (Let's take it as V2) __ The symbol is negative because the objecy is moving in opposite direction.

Total mass of combined object : M1 + M2

Velocity of the combined object : V

According to the law of conservation of momentum,

Total momentum before collision = Total momentum after collision.

M1V1 + M2V1 = (M1 + M2) V

= 1.5 (2.5) + 1.5 (-2.5) = (1.5 + 1.5)V

= 3.75 - 3.75 = 3V

V = 0
