Free fall :-

Definition :- A body falling towards the center of the earth under the influence of a single force only, which is the gravitational pull of the earth, is said to be a free fall. In physics Free fall is a motion of a body where gravity is the only force acting on it.

Free  \: fall \:  : g =  - 9.8m \: sec

Examples :-

1. Falling an object from the top.

2. The stones and a feather falling in vacuum.

The acceleration of the body is equal to the acceleration due to gravity.

So, The value of a will be g.

a = g

The equation of motion for free fall :-

1. \: v  = u + gt

2. \: h = ut +  \frac{1}{2}  {gt}^{2}

3. \:  {v}^{2}  -  {u}^{2}  = 2gh
