Jute is the second most important vegetable fiber after cotton due to its versatility. Jute is used chiefly to make cloth for wrapping bales of raw cotton, and to make sacks and coarse cloth. The fibers are also woven into curtains, chair coverings, carpets, area rugs, hessian cloth, and backing for linoleum.

As we know Jute is the second most important vegetable fibre which is used for making sacks, coarse cloth , curtains, chair coverings etc. But cotton fibre we use it to wear in summer as it absorbs heat and makes us feel cool and fresh whereas as jute we cannot use it.Hence cotton fiber is more important than jute because of its versatile uses.
