Q.Why is hydrogen included in the activity series of metals?

In the periodic table, hydrogen is placed is the first row just before inert gas Helium. ...Hydrogen is included in the reactivity series of metals because it's property of electroposivity (i.e losing electron to form positive ion) is similar to that of metals, thats why we can relate it withmetals.

hydrogen is not actually a metal.It is only placed above the series as it's atomic number is one and it can donate electrons but actually there is a slight distance between the first group, alkaline earth metals and hydrogen .
