A book fair was organised in our school in the auditorium from August 1 to August 6, 20... . The aim was to promote reading habits among the students. The main function was organised in 1st August in the school library. The Principal addressed the students and called upon them to develop love for books.

He distinguished good books from bad ones on the basis of their lasting value, aesthetic pleasure and morality.

The book fair in the Auditorium was daily visited by a good number of students and teachers. A number of publishers set up their stalls and exhibited their books. Story and computer books drew the attention of a large number of students.

An interactive session with some eminent writers was the main event of the concluding day function. The eminent novelist Ruskin Bond and the well-known poet Vikram Seth participated in the session, and spoke about their writings. They impressed upon the students to cultivate habits to read books by great writers.

Giving his concluding remarks, the Principal said that books are our never-failing friends, so they should be with us every time. He announced the increase in library hours. The week, on the whole, provided enough stimulation to students to buy and read books.
