answer

)The heat is transported from one end to the other end by the conduction phenomenon. The molecules of the metallic rod get energy from the heating medium and collide with the neighbouring molecules. This process transfers the energy from the more energetic molecules to the low energetic molecules.

)The handles of cooking utensils are made up of plastic or wood because plastics and wood are bad conductor of heat. As they are bad conductors of heat therefore they won't be able to pass the heat of the flame to the person's hand and will prevent the person from burns or any other injuries.

)Good heat conductivity, low chemical reactivity, strength and durability are the qualities I look for in good cooking utensil.Aluminum also has good heating characteristics and excellent durability.

)Plastic or wood.
