Q 1 Compare 5/6 and 13/15.

Q 2 what is the value of (a+b) / (a-b) , if a/b = 4 ?

Ans: A/b=4

then a=4b

a+b=4b+b=5b

a-b=4b-b=3b

5b/3b=5/3

Q.3 Simplify : 3 + 1(⅕) + ⅔ -7/5

Ans: sorry I don't know

Q 4 If ⅓ +1/x =3, then x = ?

Ans: Answer:

\frac{1}{3} +\frac{1}{x}= 331+x1=3 -----------------------------------------1

cross multiplying we get,

\frac{x+3}{3x} =33xx+3=3

cross multiplying again we get,

x+3=9x

8x=3

x= 3/8

( you can see that while substituting x=3/8 in equation 1 we get 3)

Q5: Find the sum of 2(⅘) + 1(3/10) +3(1/15).

Ans: sorry I don't know

Q6:What should be added to 6(7/15) to get 8(⅕)?

Ans: Answer:

8 \times \frac{1}{5} - 6 \times \frac{7}{15} = \frac{26}{15}8×51−6×157=1526

So, \frac {26}{15}1526 should be added to 6 \times \frac {7}{15}6×157 to get 8 \times \frac {1}{5}8×51

Q.7 Rafiq exercised for ⅔ hour, while Rohit exercised for ¾ hour. Who exercised for longer time?

Ans: In attachment
