Ans 1 -

The three types of muscle fibres are:- Striated muscles, smooth muscles and cardiac muscles.

Ans 2- The neuron is a specialized and individual cell, which is also known as the nerve cell. A group of neurons forms a nerve. ... Axon–Axon is a tube-like structure that functions by carrying an electrical impulse from the cell body to the axon terminals for passing the impulse to another neuron. (Diagram in attachment)

Ans 3- differences between Bone and cartilage

A Cartilage is thin, flexible and resistant to compressive forces. Bones are hard, brittle and lack elasticity. They are highly vascularized and very strong. While cartilages provide cushion-type padding for long bones, bones provide skeletal support.

differences between Tendon and ligament

Tendons may also attach muscles to structures such as the eyeball. A tendon serves to move the bone or structure. A ligament is a fibrous connective tissue which attaches bone to bone, and usually serves to hold structures together and keep them stable.

differences between Blood and lymph

Blood has RBC's, WBC's, platelets and a fluid called plasma. Whereas lymph has WBC's and watery fluid. They both have immune and also circulatory functions in them. One of the major differences between them is that blood flows through blood vessels and lymph through lymphatic vessels.

differences between Xylem and phloem

Xylem is the complex tissue of plants, responsible for transporting water and other nutrients to the plants. Phloem is living tissue, responsible for transporting food and other organic materials. ... Phloem transports food materials that are prepared by the green parts of the plants to other parts of the plant.

Ans 4 - Meristematic tissues contain living cells with varied shapes. They possess a large nucleus devoid of the vacuole. ... The zone where these cells exist is known as meristem. The cells of the meristematic tissue divide actively to form specialized structures such as buds of leaves and flowers, tips of roots and shoots, etc. (Diagram in attachment)

Ans 5 -The vascular tissues of plants, which are composed of specialized conducting tissues, xylem and phloem, form continuous systems through the plant body and provide transport pathways for water, nutrients, and signaling molecules and support a plant body against mechanical stresses.

Ans 6 - In attachment

Ans 7 -Connective Tissues: Bone, Adipose, and Blood. Bone, adipose (fat) tissue, and blood are different types of connective tissue that are composed of cells surrounded by a matrix.

Ans 8 - The main functions of stomata are: Gaseous exchange- Stomatal opening and closure help in the gaseous exchange between the plant and surrounding. It helps in transpiration and removal of excess water in the form of water vapour. Stomatal closure at night prevents water from escaping through pores. (Diagram in attachment)

Ans 9 - Epithelial tissues are widespread throughout the body. They form the covering of all body surfaces, line body cavities and hollow organs, and are the major tissue in glands. They perform a variety of functions that include protection, secretion, absorption, excretion, filtration, diffusion, and sensory reception.

Ans 10- Protective tissues are generally present in the outermost layer of the plant body such as leaves, stem, and roots, and offer safety to the plant body. They stop desiccation, mechanical injury, and infection in plants. Complete answer: The protective tissues in plants consist of epidermis and cork (phellem).
