No Mughal emperor Jahangir 's decision was not incorrect to permit for trade to the East India company because it was his aim, by foreign trade, to develop the people of his nation. However,  Jahangir was not aware that India was going to be conquered by a political power

Explanation:

  • Sir Thomas Roe visited Emperor Jahangir's Mughal Court in 1615 and was given trade licenses in Surat. The Agra, Ahmedabad and Broch trade centers were later established. Then, in Calcutta, Madras and Bombay, trade centers were also established.
  • The East India Company's income slowly increased dramatically. In the Bengal Province (now Bihar, Odisha, & Bengal) and in Agra, they received permission (Dastakath) for duty-free trade from Mughal emperor. The British were able to gain more strength through these measures.
