Answer:

1.first convert meter in cm . so, 1m = 100cm .so, 4m= 4×100 m = 400 m

so ratio of 80 cm and 400cm = 80/400

= 1:5

second part = ratio of 60rs and 180rs

= 60/180= 1:3

Third part= first convert them in item . so, 1gross = 144 items . so, 3 gross = 3×144 =432items . then 1 dozen = 12 items . so, 6 dozen = 6×12 = 72 items

so, ratio of 432 items and 72 items = 432/72= 6:1

fourth part= ratio of 16.5 gm to 4.5 gm = 16.5/4.5 = 11:3

fifth part = first convert m in cm . 1m = 100cm. so, 1.5 m = 1.5 × 100= 150 cm

so ratio of 150 cm to 80 cm = 150/80 = 15:8

2. sum = -230

one no. = 120 . let other no. to be x

so, 120 + x = -230

so, x = -350

3. price of 5 chocolate s = 200rs. so, price of one chocolate= 200/5 = 40rs

so , price of 7 chocolates = 7× 40 = 280 rs

Total cost of choclates = 280+ 200= 480 rs

Ratio of cost of total chocolates and doughtnuts = 480/350

= 48 : 35

4. formula of mean proportional= √ab = √1×49

= 7

5. ratio of 2 quantity= 3:7

let quantity to be 3x and 7x

first quantity= 36

so, 3x =36 . so, x = 36/3 = 12

so, oter quantity= 7x = 7 x 12 = 84

6. Her income = 35000

Her expenditure= 30000

so ratio of income to expenditure= 35000/30000= 7:6

second part = Her income = 35000

her savings =35000-30000= 5000rs

Ratio = 35000/5000= 7:1

third part = expenditure= 30000rs

her savings = 5000rs

so ratio = 30000/5000= 6:1
